Laparoscopy
Andalusia Regional Hospital's Surgical Department provides a full range of Specialty Services to accommodate our area. The service includes all types of Laparoscopic procedures such as Lap. Cholecystectomies, Lap. Nissens, Lap. Appendectomy, Lap assisted Total Vaginal Hysterectomies and Lap. Birch procedures. Surgeons here use 10mm-5mm scopes that are minimal invasive Laparoscopic equipment.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
The magnetic resonance imaging examinations are performed on a G.E. 1.0 T High speed Signa with the latest available software package. This equipment allows us to obtain superb images of the brain, spine, and musculoskeletal system as well as high quality magnetic resonance angiography for imaging the carotid arteries and cerebral arteries. Echoplanar imaging is available when very fast images are needed.

With this state-of-the-art MRI, the images can be obtained much more quickly allowing the patient to spend less time in the machine, and the image quality is even better than older machines resulting in improved diagnostic confidence.

Nuclear Scan
We provide the full array of diagnostic nuclear imaging examinations including gated cardiac SPECT studies.

Our ADAC Genesis large field of view gamma camera with a Pegasus computer system provides detailed, high resolution, digital images with computer analysis of the data in both the 360 degree for SPECT images and planar configurations. The high quality images assist the physicians in arriving at the correct diagnosis.
